Since the light hangs down a bit, it lights up the ceiling and the frosted glass creates a bright soft light without hard shadows. The brushed nickel goes well with my stainless appliances. Fixture is beautiful and as described. The installation instructions were not helpful since the pictures didn’t match the parts that were shipped. The fixture wasn’t as secure as it should have been so husband had to get additional parts from the hardware store for installation.
