Love this shoe bench. Perfect size for the area I bought it for, the walk through from the garage into the house. I would have given 5 stars had the instructions been correct and the hinge been usable. We realized the panels 5 & 6 were labeled incorrectly after we had almost finished assembly. Took it apart again and re-installed with the panels where they should have been. The hinge for the top was not usable. It would not move at all. We weren't too concerned about it because the unit is going against the end of the bed and will not be able to be opened too far. They say this product is solid wood when it definitely is not. It is made of cheap particle board. The parts were numbered incorrectly. It says that it is for shoe storage but can only fit one pair of small shoes per drawer. It says that it seats two but it definitely cannot support the weight. Love this bench! It was quite an ordeal to put together but it finally all fit the way it was intended. I would however have put the handles and drawer pulls on before hanging the doors or building the drawers. I am disappointed in the cushion as it is very hard and the off-white is not that pretty with the white wood. The cushion cover is not very snug either. I plan to make a new cover to match my furnishings, so that will solve that problem. We're overall very happy with the bookshelf and cube system. It looks great in our family room and corrals our kids' toys. We like that the bookshelf holds a lot of books and is easy for our toddler to utilize. The drawer below the bookshelf pulls out easily and fits lots of stuffed animals. The cubes make it easy for our toddler to see her toy options. The open shelves and bins allow our toddler to clean up without assistance. The unit, while it took a while build, was easy to put together. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow.
