As advertised, generally pretty good, but very light weight. If I had seen it in person, and had the chance to pay more and get a more substantial filing cabinet, I would have happily paid more. Nonetheless, this is a metal (albeit very thin light-weight metal) filing cabinet and it works as it should. I used it with both drawers set for 8 1/2 x 11 in the standard way which is what I needed but I don’t think this is clear from the pics and verbiage online so I thought it best to say that both will work perfectly well for 8 1/2 x 11 file folders.. Took 24 minutes to build and was very easy to put together. Scan the code and watch the video much easier then looking at the pictures. The photo showed a height of 24.8" its actually 25.2" which made it not fit under my desk but the specifications shows 26" so should've read that. It is a 2 person job to put together but unfortunately we had to recruit a third, my daughter who was the most limber and had small hands to be able to finish putting it together. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see. Before I even started building, I was impressed with the packaging. Everything was secure, clearly labeled, and they even included gloves to protect your hands while working with the metal. Much appreciated. You do not even need to hunt down a screwdriver, which is a nice touch. I checked the edges and felt a couple sharp spots on the inside, but after assembly, I could not find them anymore. They must be tucked away securely within the structure. They recommend two people for assembly, but I did it solo without a problem. I had to use my foot or lean something against the wall a couple of times, but overall it was very manageable alone. Now for the build. At first, I was skeptical. Some of the metal pieces seemed very thin, and I honestly did not think it would look good or feel sturdy. But it came together better than expected. Everything fit well except one piece that needed a little extra push, possibly due to a slightly thick metal coating. Once in place, it was fine. If you have larger hands, a few of the screws may be tricky to work with since they sit very close to the surrounding material, leaving little room to grip or turn comfortably. This is a beautiful piece of office furniture. Looks very good. Took about 3 hours to put together. If you are not good with reading instructions fully get help. It's somewhat strong, but I would only use it for hanging file folders. The bottoms of the draws are made with some sort of hardboard and the weight is not sufficient to hold much of anything else in my opinion. They are just slid into slots on the bottom. File cabinet is a nice piece of furniture but it was a beast to assemble. It took me six hours to assemble it; two of the six hours could have been avoided if I have secured the cabinet to the wall. After assembling the cabinet and placing the folders it was really wobbly, so I decided to secure the cabinet to the wall. Before the New Year, I needed something to keep all of my important documents in and keep me more organized so, I decided to order this filing cabinet. It came super quick and definitely didn’t disappoint. It seems very sturdy and durable. Purchased this in black. Arrived with great packaging. No scratches or dents. Not super thick or heavy metal but will work for my home office. I was not able to add the casters as the wheels added height and it would not fit under my desk. So there is about an inch or inch and a half gap between the top of the file cabinet and my desk. The only complaint I have is the top drawer does not pull out all the way. There are several inches of space at the back of the drawer that can't been seen. Seems like wasted space.
