We got a range hood for our outside grill it took time to install because my husband built a wood box to attach it to our roof.it works great because now when we use the grill all the smoke doesn’t stay in the area and we are able to eat sitting around the grill. We had 2 of these installed. The control panel became unattached on the first one and Wayfair sent us another range hood. I thought the first hood was pretty loud, but did an ok (just ok) job sucking smoke from the kitchen. But with the second hood, the installer noticed that the intake piece that is supposed to open when the hood was on has only half opening, which was causing the hood to be very loud. 30 in. insert range hood has up to 900 CFM suction capacity. It is equipped with 2-3-watt LED lights and can be adjustable. The light color is on the warm side. This insert range hood can be remote controlled, with the remote control infrared transmitting up to about 9.84 feet away. We also control the built-in range hood by gesture sensing and touching the digital panel. It has 4-fan speeds, whether remote control, gesture control, or touch control to adjust the speed of the fan. The power cord is 53 in. long and is connected to the power supply through a 110-120V 3-prong plug.

We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. Now if the TV or one of us saying something similar to "Hi Awoco" (prompt for commands) gets her talking we have a good chuckle.. Norma. Ware, MA. Sat Feb 14 2026
