Beautiful shower but read reviews and watch videos! The shower works perfectly if installed correctly but there are a few steps vital to the installation that are not mentioned. 1. The fittings that go into the plumbing are European and not NPT. They are knuckled and very loose once screwed in. If you try to use plumbers tape the knuckled ridges will tear it off.. You therefore must use pipe sealant (all the reviews describing this step have been taken off, i assume the sites didn't want to promote brands of pipe sealant so I won't include any in the review) or it will leak. Once the sealant is applied you have a few minutes to adjust it properly but it will not move anymore once dry so be careful! 2. The temperature can be adjusted by removing the cap over the thermostat and unscrewing the module. There is a plastic ring with small increments that let you increase the temperature and reposition the module, otherwise you will have a cold shower even if you turn it past the safety zone.. We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings. To make sure everything fits perfectly, there are Unica shower bars in different lengths, with shower hose and brackets, to suit all conventional hand showers. Whoever uses the bathtub for bathing and showering would also want to be as flexible as possible when positioning the shower head. In the shower, hip height is sufficient as a lower limit; there you should perhaps opt for the 24" wallbar or you could go for a 36" wallbar depending on your needs. It brings incredible amounts of freedom of movement, making it perfect for families with children and grandparents. To help ensure that the shower hose is a perfect length it is included along with many bars.
