I am incredibly impressed with the finished product . It took me about 4.5 hours to assemble. A lot of that time consisted of the screws and such needed to piece it together. I didn’t like seeing that through the glass so I used black stock card behind the glass doors and that did the trick. I am considering changing the knobs to something more primitive. I DO recommend the desk as long as you can accept the "CONS" I list. CONS; 1. IMPORTANT, The ledge is not wide enough to safely/securely place the stand of larger monitors. Unless you use a monitor arm I would not recommend this desk if you use anything above a 24" external monitor. 2. The 20" depth might be just a little too short if you are using a laptop with the lid open and an external monitor placed on the desk or ledge. 3. LEDs are not nearly as bright as pictures show. SO-SO The soft side drawers work but not something to brag about. I expected this so wasn't surprised. PROs I'm impressed at how sturdy it is for a light weight desk. Assembly was fairly straight forward as were the instructions that are pretty well written. Everything fit together well and assembly took less than 2 hours with two people. Finals thoughts. If you are using an external monitor I would suggest you consider NOT installing the ledge and use a monitor arm to get the most useable desk space. I did keep the ledge but might remove it later.. if you need a sit-stand desk for your home office that won't break the bank, this is the option for you. My company offers ergonomic online consults and noticed my old-fashioned leather top wood desk was too high for my height. Therefore, she recommended I get a sit/stand desk as it will be lower and will give me the option to stand during the day esp. meetings. The company does pay for them, so it was an added bonus. I love this desk its wood grain with golden hues really present a high end look! Its very sturdy and well made. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because We ordered 2 of these desks, both desks have cosmetic damage to them, 1 of the boxes came busted and that one had a lot more damage than the other. 1 desk, the bottom drawer won’t shut properly and I have to slam it closed on an angle for it to fully close, which is annoying. The electric standing desk is sturdy and nice. It is traditional with a sleek design look. The electric height adjustment works smoothly and quietly, making it super easy to switch between sitting and standing modes throughout the day. The built-in power outlets are nice, no more crawling under the desk. It is, however, not easy to put together. It has a lot of parts, so be prepared to dedicate time to that and it takes a couple of hours for the assembly when doing it all alone. The fact that there were no gliders for the drawers is a bit disappointing, because they just hang when pulled out. The original desk I received had some scratches on a couple of parts and the wooden dovels provided to connect the desk top were fragile and broke during the assembly. Reached out to Wayfair support with the part number needed to replace the damage and they were so understanding and supportive enough to provide a new free replacement and told me to dispose off the original desk that was no longer functional.
