My son, who is an architectural engineer had no trouble putting together this gazebo for my 60th birthday, he was impressed with the craftsmenship, the only downside was the size of delivery, I was forced to have the 18 wheeler back over my grass lawn and drop the pallets since they could only be dropgate delivery.. the neighborhood, strangers and passerby’s have inquired about this product so it may produce more sales...next twinkle lights, flower bed and a chime and picture will be complete..happy birthday to me!. After searching and researching for over a month, I decided to go with a Purple Leaf 12x18 Hardtop Gazebo. I had two friends who are contractors by trade install the gazebo. It took them approx 10 hours. They stated even with 7 boxes this gazebo was the easiest, nicest and best well made gazebo they have installed. The gazebo looks high class so worth the money. I did notice a few scratches in the pillars once the boxes were open, since they were near the ground, I figured it was fine. Miy order was place Thursday, July 3 and I received all 7 boxes on Tuesday, July 8. Overall, I love my new outdoor space and I can not wait to add to it. I just wish Purple Leaf made more accessories to fit the gazebo. For instance, a permanent privacy wall, other designs of temporary privacy walls, tv mounts, bar counter to connect to a pillar, heaters, and or different types of curtain walls.. Susan. Roof rafters had some tweaking to get right. Overall really good product! Looks great! Roof packaging took a little bend at bottom corner but we were able to hide them. We are very happy with this gazebo. The wood quality is very good, and the finished product looks beautiful and sturdy in our backyard. Assembly was easier than expected. Two people in the family were able to put it together without hiring outside workers. The instructions were clear, and the parts fit together well. I would recommend wearing gloves during assembly to help avoid scratches or small injuries, and having a ladder will definitely make the process easier. One thing I would suggest is adding an extra coat of wood stain or sealer if you want more protection. I did that for mine because I want it to last longer. Even without it, I think the wood feels durable, but if you live in a humid area or want extra long-term protection, adding a wood sealer is a good idea. One of my favorite things is simply sitting inside the gazebo in the early morning or late afternoon. The shade, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and unwind. Very attractive gathering area with lots of space. The curtains and mosquito netting adds to its usefulness. The 14x24 Ft. is slightly different than the 12x20 Gazebo that we purchased in 2020. It has a support bar across the middle that is only 6Ft.In. high which interferes with putting a fan in the middle. We installed on an existing cement pad and when it rained the water flooded around each leg. Ceiling kept the middle dry. Velcro ties for curtains came loose during moderate gusts of wind. I absolutely adore my new four-season gazebo! It’s spacious, sturdy, and incredibly strong. I secured the post using heavy-duty bolts on a reinforced deck foundation. The instructions were not the most user-friendly, but since I’m quite handy with assembling things, I managed to comprehend most of the directions. However, I can understand how some people might find it challenging. Lastly, please don’t be like me and attempt to assemble this gazebo on your own. I’m not sure we could be happier with our gazebo. After spending time budgeting and planning a build-from-scratch project, this became clear to us that it was more affordable and frankly better looking. We love the size of the posts and the look of the metal roof. We are looking to add lights and fan(s) in the near future. Ours is a 15x13. We would consider ourselves very handy with tools and construction. It took four of us (two in our twenties and two in our forties) a three day weekend to put this together. The hardest part was the height of the roof and the reach needed to attach some screws. None of the work is challenging. It just requires some basic construction skills and teamwork (patience).. I bought a 13x15 gazebo to fit over my 16x20 patio. I have done my research and this one was the best choice for me. Its a good size for the space and I love the look. Now here is a few things I don't like. I had some issues with the metal roof. Some of the holes didn't line up. It's a good thing that I am tall with long arms because otherwise you wouldn't be able to reach both ends of the nut and bolt. They say this can be setup in 2.5 hours with 4 people. I think that's hilarious. I would like to see that. I just needed help standing the legs, the rest I did by myself. It took me less than a week to build. I was working on it a few hours a day after work. I also wish it had more roof support. Since I am very handy, I will be adding my own additional roof support. By adding more support it will add more weight so hopefully it will withstand wind over 60 mph. Just make sure if you are unsure about a part, jump ahead in the manual and see how it comes together. I had to do that with a few steps. Overall we are happy with our purchase. If you are not very handy this can be difficult for you.
