It is the perfect size for putting under the litter box. It is almost impossible for the kitten to jump out and not hit the mat. Binx and some cats like to see if they can jump out of the box and miss the mat. As soon as I put it down, he had to use the litter and throw a bunch of litter out of the box. It was easy to sweep most of it up and the hand-held vacuum cleaner did the rest. The only problem I experienced was with the shipment. Super happy with this. Was using one of those litter boxes that look like a pot with a plant in it. Plastic got scratched and it started holding on to odors and dirt.
