The packaging was simple and easy to open, which I appreciated right away. Unlike some boxed mattresses that practically explode the moment the plastic is cut, this one expands in a much calmer and safer way. It slowly drew in air and took about two hours to really look like a mattress, then continued settling overnight until it reached its full shape. Comfort wise, this mattress definitely lives up to its extra firm description. It has very little give, yet feels supportive rather than hard. The breathable foam construction also helps it feel comfortable through the night. I chose the 10” thick version and think it would be especially good for a bunk bed, daybed, trundle, RV, or guest room where a dependable low profile mattress is needed. I ordered the 12-inch mattress, and Ill admit I was a little hesitant when I first unboxed it because it was still expanding. I loved that I received the item within 24 hours. Unfortunately, upon receipt of the item, the bottom of the box was opened. Also the mattress is not cut true to size. The mattress is medium-firm in texture and has two layers: the top layer is made up of cooling gel foam and the bottom one is made of high-density foam. Sleeps like a baby literally. Before I got this baby mattress, I read so many reviews for many brands. So I finally decided to get this brand because I needed a breathable mattress. This mattress is incredibly comfortable. My son actually stays even when I sneak away. It's cozy, and I've laid next to him and fallen asleep. It's very breathable and safe as it's comfortable yet still firm. Great purchase. It has a two-stage design on the front and back, which is a good product for busy parents to save time. My baby sleeps so well on it. And this crib mattress comes rolled up in a compact package. So make sure you take it out and let it puff up and take its full shape at least a few days before using it. It has a nice firm texture for a baby but not uncomfortable.
