I needed a fan for my loft that would help circulate the air for efficiency in heating and cooling. But, I don't really like the look of most ceiling fans and didn't need to have lights in it. So, I ordered this with reservations because it is so expensive. However, it really looks nice, is well balanced so it doesn't wobble one bit, and it is absolutely silent when it's on. My electrician said it's very good quality, was straight forward to install, and has a good motor. There is a remote control I can use to regulate speed and direction, which comes with a holder that can be installed on the wall next to the switch so it is less likely to get lost. Gerber isnt as well-known a brand as some others, but when I was shopping for fixtures for a full bathroom, it was carried by a local, highly-respected plumbing supply store, and I wound up choosing them for their design. The faucet is handsome, but the product photography doesn't illustrate important elements- there is a red and blue dot under the moveable control. The set screw for this is located in such a way, that if you install it so it's hidden, you will have a non-traditional arrangement: hot on the right and cold on the left. Also I'm not sure what's causing this, but the faucet makes a noise when running that sounds like someone above you is using a hair dryer. I've never had a faucet make a noise like this one...
