This rug is soft and low pile. It was packaged really well and did lay flat after only one day. I have this rug in my kids room, and I have had to vacuum it a lot, and it has held up well. Good quality rug, exactly what I wanted as far as thickness (I despise washable rugs). My only issue was the color. I ordered the creamivory and it looks more cool toned than what I wanted.
