Winflo carbon filters/charcoal filters are perfectly designed for ductless range hood installation. They are attached to the range hood blower to clean the air before recirculating back into the house. Ductwork is not necessary. Winflo carbon filters are the solution for the kitchens that don't have an exhausting duct option. This carbon filter fits Winflo some wall mount or island range hood. As we were missing a few inches to the ceiling with the included chimney component, we ordered the longer version directly from the manufacturer. Including a picture of the range hood after install, and a second picture after painting. Our only issue with the product is that it “whistles” at its lower speeds and due to slightly inconsistent suction, the metal grills were vibrating against the lower horizontal frame.
