The exact shape of the barrels may vary due to availability but the color and size remain true. Because these barrels were originally used to transport food, there may be residual food product odor. The residual odor will dissipate after a few full barrel-filling cycles. We use a ph-balanced, environmentally friendly soap when cleaning so that the water gathered can immediately be used on plants without harm. These barrels keep difficult to break down plastics from adding bulk to landfills and also contain and repurpose stormwater.

Arrived in great condition, simple set up. Seems well made. You don't need to be extremely precise on gutter orientation. We have about a 24" gap from open down spout to the barrel opening. Before we had a chance to correct that it rained and it filled just fine. Ordering a second one to link together using a short length of flexible garden hose with female fittings on both ends.
