I’ve grown to hate appliances with overly complicated computers in them. They constantly break and never work well. I love that this stove only has the features you need for cooking. The burners work very well and are true to the temperatures you select. I used to have Cafe ranges and they all would get way too hot and were more difficult to control. This Kucht range is more true and is much easier to cook with. You can still get things scorching hot if you want, but you can also gently simmer. One thing I don’t like is that the broiler is only down the center of the oven. I often finish dishes off under the broiler to get things browned quickly on top. The broiler feature will only work on things near the center so you can’t get an even broil over a casserole for instance. Thankfully I have a second oven or this would be a big issue for me. The other slight issue is that parts of the exterior get quite warm when the oven on. Especially near the bottom. Not great when young kids are in the house. Beautiful Crucible knob is an easy way to elevate any piece. I have it here replacing a signature gold tone stainless steel knob on my deep teal Dutch oven. The knob feels substantial and makes it easier to grip the lid. I have attached photos comparing the before-after. Legend has it that this beloved dessert originated in the kitchen of the Tatin sisters, who operated a hotel in the French town of Lamotte-Beuvron. While making a pie for guests, one sister mistakenly placed the prepared apples in the dish first. She decided to lay the pastry crust on top, and turn it out after it finished baking. The result was unusual but delicious, and it became the signature dish of hotel Tatin. Named for this famous French upside-down apple tart, the enameled cast iron tart Tatin is a capable alternative for a variety of recipes like pizza and quiche when used in place of a conventional pie dish.
