This rough valve by Hansgrohe is expertly designed to fit the Axor Starck Rough-in Valve for Starck Shower Column. This valve is required for installation and will not work on any product except the Starck Shower Column.

Love the quality of Hansgrohe products and this one does not disappoint. I love the raindrop feel of this overhead showerhead. It falls so softly you find yourself really relaxing. If you want a hard pounding showerhead, this is not for you. Although you can get that too with the hand held sprayer that can slide up and down the post or come off for hand use. The hansgrohe Trickle Adaptor turns any hansgrohe or AXOR handshower into an ADA compliant one. Simply screw the adaptor on in between the handshower and hose, and the trickle shut-off function will be added to the handshower.

Bought as replacements for similar shower systems that burst due to freezing temps. Looks nice and works well. Not the cheapest price I found, but they were delivered on time without delay. Four stars only because plumber said that the instructions left something to be desired. May not be as easy for a DIYer. Note* Requires rough in pipes that I did not see Wayfair selling. (The only reason for a 4-star rating is due to the plastic hose and handwand. All other aspects are a strong 5-star!) The handheld shower unit came with a plastic hose, which I immediately replaced. I am sure the plastic one would have worked well, but the metal replacement looks much better and will last longer. Update on previous review: We have enjoyed this shower system for 3 months and it has been amazing! The water pressure and flow is excellent - much better than expected. The upper head has 2 settings: rain and typical spray. The rain setting is very soothing and soft. The typical spray setting provides a lot of water at great pressure. As noted above I replaced the plastic hose with stainless steel hose. That has worked well. In addition, I actually replaced the hand wand with a Moen unit and prefer it over the one that came standard. (The Moen unit has additional spray settings that the standard unit lacked) The controls on the system are excellent, allowing temperature control on one stalk and water distribution on the other. I really like the ability to set temperature independent of the "on/off" valve. I also love the surface mounted aspect of the system. Not only is it attactive, but this design will make servicing it much easier should an issue arise. Our plumbers commented on the quality of the unit and how easy it was to install.
