Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. However, there's no mention or photo that shows this part is only the 'sleeve' that is inserted into the rough-in mix valve - it doesn't include the internal cartridge (must purchase separately if needed). The product is designed to be used with balusters. The pack of 10 mounting clips installs 5 balusters which can be securely placed into wood or composite rails. Each pack includes matching stainless steel screws to fasten balusters.
