Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. I did a full bathroom remodel to add a tub to my master bath and maximize the use of space. This tub was the perfect blend of wide and deep to make the 59" length not feel too short for me. Two people can share this tub. It is beautiful and solid. The only two things I would say is be aware that the drain is in the center of the tub so if you were to stretch out in it you will probably pop the drain. Also, sides this steep can be uncomfortable if you aren't planning on sitting up. Might need a cushion. We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings.
