Me and my husband put the bed together and we got it done in about an hour. Once together we realized that we needed a little more support for our foam mattress because the metal slats were not wide and had to much space between them to give good support. We just put the cardboard the frame came in on top of the frame and it worked great. The frame is very sturdy and i needed that support being over 200 lbs. It was fairly easy to assemble. We did end up with one screw that had too much powder coatingpaint so it wouldn’t allow you to screw the sides of the headboard in. They did not provide an extra screw to be able to swap out. Took a little effort but we were able to make it work. They provide you with 2 corner protectors but the adhesive sticks better to the red peel-off cover than to the part itself or the bed. MATTRESS we have a 13” thick mattress. If you have a mattress 11” or less it will slide right under the headboard. STABILITY a little iffy. Probably okay for a child but a teen or adult seems like they need to carefully sit down. Very disappointing, the bed I received does NOT have the same detail as the photos on the website. Price & quality as expected. Found the style I wanted at a reasonable price. I needed a bed without footboard for a growing grandson! I liked the fast and free shipping. Several pages of assembly instructions were listed online which I printed out. All instruction sheets were also included but one -which I had already printed. Assembly was quite involved, but grateful my son gave 2 hours of his day off to help me out. The only thing I’m not pleased with are the center supports attached to the slats, which show underneath when looking from the side, unless you have a long bedspread.
