So, we had a bit of trouble in the beginning but Wayfair made it right. The first gate was dented pretty badly, we returned it received the second one which was missing the screws needed to put the footers on. Once the screws were received we were able to put it together correctly, I am so glad we got it. Its very heavy duty. The door is easy to openclose for access and its stylish. I would definitely recommend.. Anonymous. Huntley, IL. Mon Aug 17 2026

As a pet parent, keeping my dog safe from driveways, yard gaps, and busy streets has always been a worry. Standard gates never fit my outdoor spaces, rusted quickly, or required permanent drilling. This Retractable Outdoor Dog Gate solved all those problems. Its expandable design stretches up to 209 inches to cover wide or irregular areas like porches, driveways, and corner gardens. The 0–180° pivoting structure adapts to angled or straight spaces, while dual handles and a low ground clearance prevent my clever dog from escaping. Crafted from weather-resistant, rust-proof aluminum, it withstands rain, snow, and energetic bumps. Pressure-mounted rods provide stable support without damaging walls, and optional wall mounts add extra security. When not in use, it folds compactly for easy storage, giving me peace of mind and convenience.

I have a Dogue de Bordeaux who goes in and out of my pool. She does respect boundaries or she could plow right through it....but this goes across my full deck and has stopped her going in pool at will. I'm very happy with this.. Amelia. Allen Park, MI. Sun Aug 23 2026

With a super-tall 74-inch height, this gate effectively keeps cats and large dogs from jumping over, while the narrow 1.37-inch bar spacing keeps small pets from squeezing through. Designed for everyday ease, it features one-handed operation and swings open 90 degrees in either direction—and closes automatically when opened at an angle of less than 90 degrees. Installation is quick and simple, with dual mounting holes for extra stability, and it fits door frames up to 96.5 inches high. Wall protectors prevent damage to your walls, and the adjustable width (30.3–38.2 inches/30.3-47.2 inches) ensures a snug, custom fit for your doorway. This versatile pet gate is perfect for doorways, stairways, and more—keeping your pets safely contained wherever you need them.

I do love the design of this gate. It’s so tall that my kitties can’t go over, around, through, or under. I even like the way it opens to let me go through, without having to negotiate a bottom rail to trip on. It locks securely and was easily assembled and carefully packed. It’s attractive and exceptionally useful. My only concerns: My doorway was not true. It apparently is a few millimeters wider near the top than bottom, so the center doesn’t meet the same way in the top as bottom. This is not the fault of the gate, so I did not deduct a star. My other concern is that there’s a lot of plastic parts. I wish all the components were made of metal. However, since I had no problem with the metal parts during the month I’ve used it, no deducted star there, either.. Janice. Durant, OK. Thu Jun 25 2026

This is great. I was looking for a permanent solution to keep the dog from the front door and a way to separate the dogs from my niece when she visits. This is perfect fix. It opens and closes easily with adult human hands, meaning the dogs or my niece can’t open it. It also has a lock, which will be great when my niece is a little older. It is permanently attached to the wall so I don’t have to fumble with a gate, and it isn’t in the way. I am quite happy with this mesh gate.. Anonymous. Sat Jul 11 2026

A metal pet gate provides a secure and flexible solution for creating safe spaces throughout your home. Designed with a pressure-mounted frame, this adjustable cat gate fits openings from 21" to 34" wide and extends in height from 75" to 98". The narrow bar spacing helps keep curious cats safely contained, while the walk-through door allows convenient access for people. Its lightweight plastic accents and locking mechanism add everyday functionality. Plus, we love that this tall pet gate helps create a comfortable environment for pets and their families.

This is likely not what many people are using this skate for, but were doing it to help socialize our wonderful new dog with my two cats, one of them is not very dog savvy. When we tried to do this with a normal baby gate, she kept trying to launch herself over it so of course, he wanted to chase her. This was the most affordable option that I could find for something floor to ceiling that would allow them to become more familiar without the potential danger that an unexpected interaction could have caused. Ive been very happy with it. The socialization is going great, and there is no way that my cat can jump over this. Its also sturdier than I expected as the pup still likes to paw at it from time to time, with no issues so far. Its very easy to open and close. This is a great affordable option!. Katherine. Durable and easy to set up, this retractable gate works perfectly for driveways, garages, patios, warehouses, and events, both indoors and outdoors.

Initial thought was the solid construction. Guess I expected it to be a bit flimsy or wobbly but was very impressed. 2nd impression was of the ease of putting it together & installing it. Went up quickly & smoothly. I would have liked the parts to be marked & instructions a bit clearer but visually, the parts answered any questions I had. It's a basic set up in that regard. We have multiple cats & this is working perfectly. No more zippered screen doors with Velcro periodically replaced from broken zippers. Only issue I have now is wondering why I didn't do this sooner.. Thomas. Whitewater, WI. Wed Oct 07 2026

We needed a divider in our laundry room as the dogs go in and out of their dog door and into their space. It comes with floor secures too but we have tile and I’m not sure about drilling those in at this point. Thankfully my dogs get the list and keep to their side! You will need proper wall anchor screws for drywall as one of the hooks is starting to slip out of the wall from use. The product itself is sturdy and a great buy. This was one of the only retractable gates that came in such a length!. Robyn. Sugar Hill, GA. Tue Sep 29 2026

The safety lock design increases security, and an installation kit can ease your assembly. Such stretchable door gates are ideal for securing your high-traffic hallways or entryways in any business or industry.

High quality gate- but your description dimensions are wrong so I had to leave the wheels off to get it to fit by less than an inch. Please correct this. Gate measures 84.5 inch high. The wheel add another 3 inches making it too large. There is a gauge in one of the crossbars at the top. Not a big deal but it did not happen in shipping. See photos. Overall fits my needs. Send me a gift card for the issues.. Robert. Key Largo, FL. Mon Sep 11 2023

Is your furry four-legged friend causing chaos around the house while you’re out? Keep them confined to one room with this must-have pet gate! Crafted from manufactured wood, it features four panels with hinges so it can easily fold up for a simple storage solution when not in use. Plus, it has two support legs so it can stand freely without damaging your walls. And with neutral coloring, it won’t clash with your current color palette.

Attractive and Durable, but Needs Securing I've used this gate since December 2023, and it has held up well. It's attractive, heavy, and true to size, and I really appreciate the height. The included support feet are a nice option, although I don't use them. My main complaint is that my dogs can push the gate to the side unless I secure it with carabiners. With that workaround, it serves its purpose. Overall, I'm happy with its appearance and durability, and I prefer it to a typical utilitarian-looking pet gate.. Sims Family Reviews. Kansas. This multi‑functional wooden gate acts as a pet fence, room divider and pet playpen. Featuring elegant wood finish, it harmonizes with home furniture while keeping pets secure. Built with solid support braces and stable Z‑shape structure, it resists tipping for reliable use in doorways, hallways and stair areas. Fully pre‑assembled, it opens accordion‑style for instant setup. It folds flat for space‑saving storage behind doors or inside closets with no extra tools needed.

The 71" extra-high gate can prevent cats from jumping over the gate and also prevents children from climbing over it. The space between the fences is very narrow at 1.37 inches, which prevent puppies, kittens or children to squeeze through or get their heads stuck between the fences. And this safety gate is adjustable in width, making it possible to safely divide areas where pets or babies should not enter, such as kitchens, entrances, or staircases. It can be adjusted to fit the space, making it very convenient.

This gate worked extremely well for us when we needed a way to keep our 3 huge dogs (1 is 88 lbs) away from our contractors. Stayed firmly in place without being screwed into the wall and was very secure when you lower the little lever that locks it in place.. Rachel. New Braunfels, TX. Sat Aug 29 2026
