The XPV 708 - PV Flexible Duct is designed to handle chemical fumes, dust, light materials and ambient air in HVAC applications. It has a wide working temperature range of -20 to 160F. The XPV 708 - PV Flexible hose duct is a highly versatile and affordable flexible ductwork that can be used to move dust, air and fumes. This flex ducting is available in two colors, blue and clear, and the clear version allows the end-users to visually track clogs in the duct lines. This flexible duct can be compressed to a quarter of its extended length with an excellent compression ratio of 4 to 1. The compressibility is due to the highly flexible nature of the vinyl, or PVC, film that the duct hose’s wall is constructed with. While the PVC material is sturdy and allows the hose to flex, it also has a steel wire helix winding through the body to add an extra level of reinforcement and this gives structure to the duct. One of the key characteristics of the PVC Flex ducting is its high bend radius. It is designed to twist and contort into tight spaces to provide effective air movement, even in small or unusual settings. This hose is multi-faceted partly due to its availability in three lengths. This reduces wastage for end-users who can comfortably purchase the length needed that most closely matches their needs. This flexible duct is ideal for use in HVAC systems when metal hoses cannot offer enough bend to allow for an easy installation.
