The BIG design flaw is that when the cycle is complete it simply shuts off, no indicator light that the cycle has been completed. Major over-sight, possibly they could modify it with a sw update? I was surprised at how quiet this dishwasher is. The top rack for cutlery is a big improvement over my last dishwasher, and I like the being able to change the height of the the top rack (even changing the heights indepdentently to give more room to taller items on one side). I have never had a batch disposal before. I have always had the traditional ones that require a switch to turn on. The only real issue (and its not much of one) is with how our sink is in the kitchen island there isn't a good spot to set the plunger when not in use other than in the sink itself. It is powerful and I am really happy how well it does its job. There is no flap that covers the opening to the drain like on traditional disposals. I thought this would be an issue having it open and silverware falling in. With our drain off to the right it really has not been a problem. Although I did have a fork fall into it the fact that the disposals "neck" between the sink and the bottom is long so the fork never fully fell into the disposal it just stood straight up. Also not having that flap covering the disposal makes it much easier to see at a glance if anything has made its way in that should be there. It is noisy but not bad, just as I expected as from traditional. I like the safety of it not turning on unless the plunger is in. We have young kiddos. Just makes me feel better. Beautiful faucet set. The handle feels sturdy. I’ve only used it a couple times so can’t say how well the black will hold up. Fingers crossed it won’t chip like my last set!
