We totally love the new hallway doors! They have replaced 1980s louver doors and make the entry now feel so contemporary and up-to-date. Yes, we relied on our local contractor to install them, as they needed to be trimmed to fit the existing height requirement. The cost of the doors and labor together were well-worth it, though -- our contractor is sending a picture of the doors to other clients, as they are sure to be a popular replacement in our condo community. :). The door looks nice and works well overall. One thing to note if you’re installing it in a frame with a traditional door stop built into the jamb, it may have trouble closing properly. Installation wasn’t too difficult, but make sure to read the instructions thoroughly before starting. Love love love these doors. Used them between the master bedroom and master bath. They look great and the frosted glass lets in some light while providing privacy. It was a bit of work for our contractor to set the hardware as the doors are are not prepped for that but we knew that from previous reviews Even with that our local building supply store wanted 3000 for a “custom” door of this design. Very pleased. Arrived in good condition, but had to glue one of the joints. No big deal. Had to move the railing from which the doors are hung to allow room for the pivot hardware. The colour of the doors is "dirty" white and I don't think you can paint these doors - so unfortunately they don't match the trim and baseboards. The doors themselves run on the thin side - I wish they were more solid. The track is visible even with custom trim, they don't quite look like the photo.
