One year ago I bought a cheaper pergola from another company; it had the nylon roof you pull back with a cord, no side screens available. The roof was flimsy and noisy whenever there was a breeze, and if you forgot to close it tight before a rain, the weight of the water was going to tear it . It actually wasn’t 10x10 as advertised, maybe 9x9, and the sun came under the east & west sides, no you were seldom shielded from the sun. We are very happy with our Backyard Discovery Beaumont 14x12 pergola! The only negative would be the time it took to arrive, which was about six weeks. Otherwise, it is very well made and looks beautiful. You need at least three people to put together. ​Great pergola and easy assembly, but with a couple of issues ​We really like this pergola, and the whole family is thoroughly enjoying the shade it provides on our deck. It was quite easy to assemble (we only needed two people for the posts and main beams) and I was able to do the rest by myself. ​However, there are a couple of things worth pointing out. As shown in the photos, some of the holes on the beams were not pre-drilled, which made installation a bit more difficult. Additionally, the hook used to move the louvers arrived with rust spots and a poor finish, which is disappointing for a brand-new item. This is a great solution for my boring hot back patio. It created instant shade and great style to the area. We rarely used this space before installing this gazebo. We love our 15x13 louvered pergola. Looks really nice and expensive and feels solid. It took an experienced crew of 2 about 3 hours to install but I know ot would've taken me and a friend at least 6-8 hours as it'll take longer to read the instructions and plan the steps etc. whereas the experienced pergola installers went right into it. The louvers work well and are the best thing abiut this compared to our previous gazebo. You can bring in as much light as you want while controlling direct sunlight, but make sure you decide which way they should open (by rotating the whole pergola) as that dictate if you can control direct sunlight. The lights are solar with 1 smallish panel but they lasted more than 4 hours on the couple of occasions we used them, and likely would've lasted longer if we needed then. This carport/gazebo features a Powder coating Galvanized steel roof reinforced with solid wood trim and triangular steel gussets beneath the peak of the structure—delivering exceptional strength and stability to support up to 4,400 lbs of snow load, ensuring reliable performance in all weather conditions.

Garage is first come first server, so needed a carport to protect whoever loses for the day. I was looking into another model from Sunjoy sold through a large box store, but after looking at their other products decided on Autocove due to more head room at the entrance due to the angled front rafter. The other model went straight across. My driveway pad angles down in 2 directions, so I had to DIY footers to make It level. Used 12” concrete form tubes, QK5000, 4 little vertical rebar in each piling drilled into exiting pad, and concrete2concretre bond agent. Used Laser level from highest point to know how tall each needed to be. Added 1x6 black stained slats which are NOT part of the product. Also used different 6x6 base mounts that only needed 1 big 5/8 hole drilled into concrete instead of 4 each pillar. The hardest part of my overall project was drilling the holes into existing concrete. You will be over installing bolts by the time you are done, but straight forward. The other reviewer’s video showing assembly (slowed way down!) was very helpful. Great Carport for the price and not hard to do.
