The Dyna-Glo Single Burner Tank Top Radiant Heater generates infrared radiant heat that warms people and objects, rather than the air. It is a portable heating solution that is perfect for indoor (with proper ventilation) and outdoor construction use. Rated at 15,000 BTUs, heats up to a 15-foot radius for a period of 28 hours depending on the BTU level selected. The does not require electricity and it is mounted directly to a standard 20-pound liquid propane (LP) tank (not included). 20-pound tank run time is 28 hours at 15,000 BTUs. As a hand wheel is included to connect the P.O.L. tank connection to a standard 20-pound tank. This tank top heater has 3 variable BTU settings, steel heat reflectors, and the burner head swivels, to direct the heat and maximize comfort control. Safety features include a safety shut-off valve to stop the gas flow if the flame is extinguished and a mercury-free tip-over switch that stops the gas flow if tipped, to protect the user and the project. This was a great addition to my sunroom to replace my older 10K btu model that couldn’t keep up with the extreme colder temps (20°Fs and below). This space is not heated so my Mr. Heater acts as the primary source. I only have to turn the setting to 3 to heat the room and then down to 2. The thermostat does a good job shutting the unit on and off as needed. I replaced a broken Mr Heater Buddy with 2 of these for emergency heat. Not great for indoor use, more suited to a garage. But the Buddy's gas lines got clogged (probably insects) sitting in storage. I needed something resilient that doesn't break while it sleeps and can be set up and packed away easily. This fit the bill perfectly. No matter what I do I cannot get this pole in the middle level. Other than that it’s great. I fired it up temporarily to make sure it worked & it did. It’s sitting inside because I need a cover for it. I will move it out on our covered breezeway. We live in FL so this is perfect for those nights it’s a little too chilly. It’s a gift so I didn’t want to run it too long. For the most part the assembly is easy. I have three parts left that are not in the directions at all. I even had both my kids read them to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. My guess is they are for the center support & have something to do with holding the propane tank. I love the “table” that goes around it. Perfect for a few little decorations. That I can get level despite the center pole. It’s all ready to give to my partner for Christmas. He’ll be happy to see it. The patio heater is also extremely high, the controls are also high. It’s fine if you’re tall, but if you’re petite you may need someone to reach them.. Deborah. US.
