This is a nice stable base that was well packaged (so much better than Build) and I’m happy with how well the dual flush tank works. No issues with needing to flush again or unclog anything. I’m also pleasantly surprised that the shape doesn’t seem to encourage ‘streaking’. It may be that the water level is high enough inside the bowl or it could be that it’s new and clean...? The base rests on the outside edges AND some interior supports, so our not level floor would not let the base sit flush on the floor. Some plastic shims in the back resolved the issue.. Anonymous. Im actually excited about this toilet! Ive always admired the architectural details on it and now that its installed, I like it even more! But, thats just looks. Functionally, its got a quiet and strong flush, which is greatly appreciated because its replacing a 3 year old toilet that always got clogged. The seat that came with it, broke after a month and the entire toilet had to be removed -- wax ring included--- to put a new seat on. I warred with getting these or the pedestal base, but due to replacing a bathtub with a unique plumbing layout, the feet were the best option if I needed to have my drain assembly facing the room. I wanted to try a dual flush, but wanted the lever style (more accessible design than top push buttons, for kids or mobility restriction), so this was one of only a few options. Packed well (no messy styrofoam) and truly ready to put on the bowl. I ordered the matching bowl, but found the mounting dimensions (3 bolts that form an equilateral triangle) to be somewhat standard. Honestly, the tank is prettier than the matching Kohler bowl, but the limited water used in flushing might make this bowl design necessary for an effective flush. This tank is serious business and looks like a machine inside, but it works well and I feel better knowing we are wasting less water. I would compare this tank to a German car; well-made and reliable, but comparatively complicated/expensive to service or repair.
