I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole. This was such a great use for my money that I earned from Wayfair! I needed pillow inserts and the price was perfect! The inserts are perfect soft enough for my two throw pillows and they are the exact size for my 18” pillow cases! They look great.
