The packaging was carefully designed (volume and placement) except for the head of the statue, causing the head to bump against the box without protection throughout its journey. The photograph shows the indentations and discoloring on the inside of the box caused by the head bumping against it. There was a slight discoloration on the head from this activity, as well. All bench table legs and statuary should be raised up off the ground in winter so they will not freeze to the ground surface. Items that have areas that pool water should be wrapped with burlap or any absorbent material (old blanket/towel) and then wrapped with dark plastic, making sure that water does not accumulate and freeze.
