These are pretty. A little strange the base color (blue) was speckled looking. The shipping was less than desirable. They did not arrive in time to be painted by my painters. The ETA changed a lot. Beautiful high quality shutters that I could not find anywhere else. Do be warned that production and delivery take a long time due to each shutter being cut to your custom measurements. The manufacturer’s helpline was excellent and they helped me track the shipment statuses and talk through installation process with one of their product specialists. Purchased the Riverwood style. Painted them but have not installed yet. They arrived primed, but primer is tacky…sticky. I have had to put 2 heavy coats of paint on them. Still painting…waiting for paint coats to dry and not be sticky either. Only concern is the shutters are not as sturdy as I expected (why the 4 stars) and hoping during installation they will not be damaged. I was a little hesitant to spend the hefty price on these shutters being that you can spend a fraction of the price for cookie cutter shutters at a big box store. However, I wanted something different than the 100's of other homes on the block. I'm happy to say, that I am very pleased with the end result. I ended up purchasing the "primed" shutters and selected my own exterior paint color to use on these. I was a bit annoyed that no mounting hardware is included, so I ended up using deck screws and cement anchors into the brick mortar. Then used 3/8" mushroom caps to plug the holes. I did not want a permanent plug because I may wat to take them down and repaint them at some point. Pros: -solid construction, not hollow like general store bought shutters. -painted well over the primer -unique design Cons -expensive -does not come with mounting hardware. Chris. I ordered these longer shutter panels to install at my front door entry and to match smaller exterior shutters on feknt facing windows - great price point and they arrived primed in gray and ready to paint - used weather exterior type paint and went in easy! Exceptional design, solid product (note they claim these are solid and can be hinged - but they curlwarp a little so that closing is not all that pretty, and they were delivered unpainted on the back so they require the back to be painted if using as hinged close-able shutters) They are great and solid if installed fixed. overall love their design(s) and the solid shutter is better than most for a fixed installation, but I would not agree that these could be operated as their ads claim.. I bought these because wood shutters have not held up in our climate. These shutters are heavy duty and almost seem like wood but I guess it is pvc. Just installed so I will update once they have been weathered a bit.. Tammy. Escondido, CA. Thu Jan 26 2023
