There is some weight overall to the lamp and it looks more expensive than it actually is. The gold color is quite nice and not cheap looking. I would not use it in my master bedroom as I prefer lamps the cast light in all directions, including upwards. But for ambient secondary lighting, this is perfect! I love it!
