I feel like you can’t get any better for the price! To me, it looks high quality but it’s just particle board. The door hardware is really cheap plastic so I’ll probably replace those. The door hinges are adjustable but we couldn’t really decrease the spaces you can see between the doors, maybe it’s an us problem though. I would have liked soft close cabinets but again overall for the price I am really very happy and impressed. I am so pleased with the console unit. It took a bit to build but we were prepared from the previous reviews. A little tweaking to get doors level but not too bad. This replaced a big heavy wall unit and in my phase of decluttering my home the storage was great. I was able to fit all of the grandchildren’s toys and games and also my new hobby of coloring with markers and pencils. I think if I could give a half star, I would. I’d give this a 4.5 stars. First off, it ships in two boxes which is nice. It makes it much easier to handle once delivered. It comes packaged well and nothing was damaged in transit. Assembly is quite laborious. It took me a long time to put this together all by myself. There are a lot of screw and various parts. The MDF does seem a little soft. Someone else said that in a review and I didn’t quite understand what they meant until I assembled it myself. Some of the screws didn’t seem to grip the wood when you put them in. That being said though, it does seem like a sturdy piece once assembled so long as you don’t move it. It’s an impossible piece to move by yourself once assembled due to its size and the way it is held together. It does seem very sturdy once it’s placed in its final position. I did not have any trouble with the door or drawer alignment. I think it does look nice once is assembled and I love the storage of it. This TV console is a great addition to our space, combining a beautiful soft oak finish with plenty of practical storage. While I definitely recommend having two people for assembly, it is possible for one person to put together it will just take considerably longer. There were a few small rough edges during assembly, but once everything was put together, they were barely noticeable thanks to the soft, natural oak color. I especially love the two open shelving areas, which are perfect for displaying game consoles, décor, or photos, along with the two additional closed cabinets for keeping things tucked away.
