Pay for the professional assembly!! Mostly all of the holes needed to be carved bigger in order to fit the pieces properly. It took us over 3 hours to build this and parts of the stand cracked and broke in the process. This TV console seems sturdy, has good storage, and is the perfect size. Yes, it is a laminate over particle board, but the finish looks nice. I think it’s a good value for the price. It does take a little while to assemble, but it wasn’t bad. My advice to anyone else is to make sure you put a level on it and use your leg adjusters to get it perfectly level before you put the back on to make sure you build it square. That may be why I saw some reviewers saying they couldn’t get the doors quite right. I will say the handles that came with the unit were not a good color. They were practically orange, not champagne bronze-ish like I thought from the photos on the website. We love it! The color has a pleasantly warm undertone that is a nice change of pace after a decade of cool gray neutrals dominating design spaces. Okay so this is as tiny as it looks in the picture, so it will work for a tiny apartment or very small space.
