I got 3 of these lights in matte black for my hallway, laundry room, and pantry. They were easy to install and provide a good amount of light using 2 bulbs. The only part of install that is slightly difficult is putting the light cover on after installing the bulbs. This handmade glass light gives just the right amount of character to the hallway of my 1940s home. This is the only hallway light so I wanted something really bright and it does a good job illuminating the length of the hall. The glass pieces came well packaged and in good condition. Because the glass is handmade, each piece had small amounts of variation in the width and length. This variation made it a little tricky to line up the holes. Theres also a discrepancy from one piece to the next so its not completely even around the rim. The little screws and nuts had some rust on them. Also the housing for the light bulbs seems to be pretty cheap. It actually took some time to carefully line up a lightbulb and screw it into place. I wanted to give this 5 stars! The oil-rubbed bronze is the PERFECT tone in person (not too brown, more of a softwarm black but distinct from true black when placed next to it). Put the whole thing together myself except I can’t tell if this plastic thing needs to be removed. I don’t think the wires will fit otherwise. The instructions don’t specify and for an electrical noob such as myself it is mildly frustrating to have to wait for my husband to get home to finish the project.
