ORDERING CORRECT SIZE: Always measure the duct opening size to determine which size to purchase. This size fits a standard duct opening of 6”x14”. To measure your duct opening for a 6" x 14" vent, simply measure the width and length of the inside edges of the duct opening. The width should be 6 inches, and the length should be 14 inches. Ensure your measurements are taken from edge to edge for an accurate fit. Do not measure the old vent cover, remove the old vent and measure the duct opening. EASE OF INSTALLATION: FOR FLOOR: installation is gravity drop. The Achtek Vent from Registers & Hardware fits seamlessly into floor openings without the need for tools ensuring a quick and hassle-free setup. This makes the installation process smooth and efficient, ensuring your vent covers are securely and aesthetically installed. FOR WALL/CEILING: Counter sunk screw holes, provided with matching screws. LOUVERS / DAMPERS: The grilles come with detachable and adjustable metal louvers, featuring horizontal parallel slats, fins, or blades. These can be manually opened or closed using a lever on one side of the vent to regulate airflow from the air duct. The louvers/dampers are secured to the vent face with machine screws, allowing for easy removal or reattachment as needed. DURABILITY & QUALITY MATERIAL: Handcrafted in Solid Sand Cast Aluminum with heavy gauge face plate thickness of approx. 3/16" (4.76 mm), these vent covers are built for durability. The design is beautiful and timeless and the cover is high quality I didn’t receive what I ordered, -which I triple checked! We needed a wall cover but received one only for floor. Fortunately we were able to use this elsewhere.
