The paint is plenty thick and has a nice powder coat finish to it, which helps in the protection of the paint. I bought these to help reduce the wind that we get on our deck. We have them attached to the railings. Last year we had to chase our furniture a few times during our wind storms but not this year. Straightforward to put together. Directions say 2 people; I easily did my 2 alone. LOTS of screws - in tight spaces. My fingers did get sore. Not heavy steel, though what I expected for the price. I did secure to our deck railings with zip ties in several areas or they would have easily blown away. We do live in a windy spot. They look very nice and preform as expected.. Heidi Hess. I like my privacy screen. I’m actually using it more for shade. I wanted it more for shade as the sun moved, so I like that I can move it around.
