This gazebo looks amazing in our yard, and seems very sturdy after a strong thunderstorm tested it yesterday for the first time. But as several reviewers mentioned, the assembly was ROUGH! In some spots the instructions were very unclear, with images that didn't accurately represent the process at a given step. It definitely takes two people in some spots, even with more than one ladder for support while assembling. But now that it's done we really love it. So--it is correctly rated as "DIY--Experienced", and will take many more hours than the instructions say unless you have at least two tall ladders and four tall workers to help put it together. The good: We bought the 14x10 and it is heavy duty. I haven't fixed it to my deck yet, but I doubt that would even be necessary because it's heavy and sturdy. It gets 4 stars because I'm confident it will serve its purpose for a long time. The bad: I can't give it 5 stars because assembly was difficult, even with 2 people in their 30s. It took us a total of around 10-12 hours over a few days. When assembling the large/heavy support beams, you will probably need to have some kind of supporting table or shelf to lean them on (or have a person hold a large piece while someone affixes it to another) to prevent bending. You'll also need at least one step ladder and a Phillips head screwdriver, which the description fails to mention and isn't included. Once it’s fully put together, it looks good and feels sturdy enough for what you pay. The Bad (The Assembly): Getting it set up was a major headache. About 90% of the pieces were completely unlabeled, making it extremely difficult to figure out how they connected. While the instruction manual was somewhat helpful, the illustrations were unclear and very hard to read. This made the entire assembly process take much longer than it should have.
