Based on reviews and cost was the reason we went with this gazebo. It fits our space and the fact it has a metal roof was a great selling point. Our previous canopy had a canvas top which needed replaced every year. I did most of the install myself. I had very little help which was even necessary. It took me four days, so I went slow and steady. The picture only instructions were really pretty good. All the parts were there and all the holes lined up. Which brings me to building of the gazebo. I left all major screws and bolts that attached the horizontal rails to the legs loose. One of the issues mentioned in reviews was being able to make this thing “square.” I’m handy, but square can be tough at times. By leaving screws and bolts loose, it allowed me to make the necessary adjustments when installing the roof panels. Once all the roof panels were installed, I tightened up all the screws and bolts. This gazebo looks amazing in our yard, and seems very sturdy after a strong thunderstorm tested it yesterday for the first time. But as several reviewers mentioned, the assembly was ROUGH! In some spots the instructions were very unclear, with images that didn't accurately represent the process at a given step. It definitely takes two people in some spots, even with more than one ladder for support while assembling. But now that it's done we really love it. So--it is correctly rated as "DIY--Experienced", and will take many more hours than the instructions say unless you have at least two tall ladders and four tall workers to help put it together. Well as much as I love this gazebo I wanted to be transparent on how many pieces this thing actually is. Took about two hours to unbox and unwrap the entire thing. I will say it was thoroughly packages which I really appreciate but every single thing was wrapped individually. We have a previous gazebo from wayfair that was a little smaller in size but took us about 3 hours total to put it together. We are on day 4 and still do not have it up completely. I do love it and how its looking and will post the finished once its all up but I recommend making sure you have enough hands to help or you prepare the prep of opening everything first. Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue.
