Being a novice fixing a drawer, it took me a bit to figure out how to separate this into 2 parts for install since there were no real instructions. I eventually figured out that you just had to forcefully yank them apart as their is no lever or catch for release like most drawer slides I've dealt with. After that, it was a simple install. I did have to search for flat small screws to install as they are not included with this slide. The only down side is that you have to pull so hard that it actually pulls the attached slide off the bottom of the drawer since there is no way to attach it tightly to thin wood bottoms. It seems sturdy enough, but we will be careful with this file drawer and never pull it fully out again...Not much left to reattach it to. These drawers are short and not deep at all. Even though the measurement of the depth of the dresser is average, the drawers don’t match that. The drawers squeak and overall it’s cheap material. They look fine, they just aren’t the best and don’t store much. We had to get other storage to fit the rest of our clothes that wouldn’t fit in here even though this dresser was the same measurements as our previous dresser.
