Arrived incredibly fast! It was really easy to put together. It took me about 2 hours to assemble the base by myself, and then my daughter and nephew helped with the top. That part took a little longer (thanks to a few snack and break interruptions ), but the total active assembly time was about 6 to 6½ hours. It’s already held up through some heavy rain and high winds here in the Chicago area—and that was before we even anchored it to the concrete. So far, I’m absolutely loving it. Solid construction. Not quite like the picture. Screws are black, not gold, roof panel does not look exactly like picture either. Put together by myself in about 13 hours, from unboxing to last screw, not extremely handy but a decent DIY'er. I did needed about 10 minutes of help from my wife to align the brace supports from the posts to the frame. The most annoying part was taking all the plastic off the metal roof panels (Tip: Don't try to do this if the panels are too cold or too hot, you will be tearing off small pieces). Out of all the material I would say the roofing panels look good but are very thin, the framing structure is quite sturdy to brace the panels but wouldn't want much snow to build up on it, as I can see the panels sagging under the weight.. I'm proactively giving a good rating, and will be back after assembly tomorrow. Good price, and I did some comparisons. I'm disappointed about the delivery. I've had large items delivered before a walk-in tub, custom sofa sleeper and both times, with specific, confirmed delivery instructions - had to get assertive with delivery guys, who prefer to drop these and similar items on my driveway in plain site. For this gazebo delivery, my instructions were to put these heavy boxes in my garage, which didnt happen. The garage doors were wide open FedX never cooperates UPS does. I can always depend on UPS. Ill see how this Assembly goes and then write my review. I'M BACK! Paying for the assembly was smart. 2 guys in uniforms showed up 7 am promptly the day of the predicted storm, and moved the boxes into my garage. They returned the following morning 7 am sharp, laid out all the pieces and had the gazebo built and secured to my deck. Then with owner supervising, the drapes/netting hung with completion in record time at 10:30 am. The gazebo is absolutely beautiful. My neighbor even took pictures of it. I love my gazebo. I purchased this to replace a soft canopy gazebo that I used for a few years. I researched gazebos for months before finally purchasing this one. I intended on purchasing one with a metal top because I wanted to ensure that it would last for years to come and most importantly I didn't want it to leak when it rained. At the last minute I started to reconsider a polycarbonate roof because the metal options, like my black covered soft top gazebo would not allow light in, so would be darker during the day. I decided that while I enjoyed the protection from the sun, it would still be nice to have some light. Normally, I regret last minute changes...but not this time. I ended up with the best of both worlds! This gazebo does not leak (and it has withstood rain and snow). It blocks the UV rays but still allows light in during the day, and is not pitch black at night when using the gazebo. A metal roof would be completely dark at night, mine allows moonlight in, which makes it functional without extra lighting (and a bit romantic) at night. The only thing that would make it better are things that are unreasonable like having a self cleaning roof or actually being a screened in porch, lol! I wasn’t sure this could be as perfect as it is considering the affordable price. It has exceeded expectations. Other reviews have mentioned the difficult assembly directions. I found the directions to be sufficient and was able to assemble the pergola properly, in a reasonable amount of time. Allow most of a day to do it. Having two people to assist you makes the construction of the pergola much easier and safer. Particularly important as the various parts are put together and erected. This gazebo is so sweet Sturdy and big enough to make you feel like you’ve got another living space. We put down a 12’x14’ paver base for the and floor and hired Tim to install it through Wayfair and Angi. He and his wife did an amazing job although two small pieces are missing.
