The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see. Can you send us a new one? I examined the box prior to opening and saw no sign of the dent or I would have refused shipment. Please advise.. Alison. Nantucket, MA. Fri Apr 17 2026

Other than the holes for the handles being drilled in the wrong place, it’s not too bad. They were drilled upside down so that they are on the lower half of the drawer front. Hopefully it won’t affect the drawer in any way other than aesthetically.. Margaret. Bonita Springs, FL. Sun Oct 04 2026

Great filing cabinet. The first shipment was damaged. Wayfair was great to replace it but shipping the damaged one back was a bit of a pain. It’s only off one star as it’s not super heavy duty but it does the job!. Amie. Mon Sep 14 2026

Now that I have it assembled it’s OK, it seems to be fair quality, looks good, feels solid, and the drawers work smoothly. However, it took hours to assemble and the directions are pictures, often vague. (The only words in print were inadvertently funny). The triangular drawer stop that I think is used to lock the bottom drawer to the top would not allow the top drawer to close so I removed it from the top drawer which I think prevents the bottom drawer from locking but I wasn’t going to fight it and possible break something slamming it or send it back after the long assembly. Fortunately, right now I don’t need to lock it but I wonder how this part could have been designed so badly. I have it closely fitting under a table so tipping isn’t a problem but I can see it could be and especially if you have kids it will need to be attached to something.. Karen. Amissville, VA. Love this file cabinet! It’s stable and sturdy. Not the easiest to assemble, though. If I hadn’t had experience with some of the hardware, I wouldn’t have known what to do.
