Our first base had a small crack in one corner, most likely due to shipping damage. Wayfair immediately replaced it and the 2nd base had stronger packaging material and came in good condition. The drain is very slightly off centered, which is how it was meant to be, but since we were replacing an older base that was centered, the hole and shower drain didn't match up. We purchase a small offset drain attachment which worked perfectly. The base is sturdy and strong and with the rings on the underside for support, it did not need any filling material. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports.
