I’m very pleased with these flat black shower doors. They arrived quickly and were well-packaged, which made the whole process smooth from the start. The clean, modern design looks great in the bathroom and really elevates the space. The only downside is with the bypass doors—they really need to stay in the correct position. Looks great. The strip that keeps water from flowing out the bottom of the door isn’t adhesive enough so I’m going to have to glue it down with something stronger. Until I do that, I just keep the door slightly ajar about a 5 degree angle while in the shower (my door opens into the shower) and the water rolls down the door and into the drain. That’s why I’m so glad the hinges were reversible and I could set the door to open into the shower, a big deal because I didn’t have space to open the shower into the room. Also the shower came with more than enough of that strip that goes at the bottom in case I should have to cut another piece I’ll have enough. No other water issues Another reviewer mentioned that it should’ve came with two of those L shaped wall brackets, I agree that would make it more sturdy. It seemed wobbly when it was first assembled but once the silicon was dry it’s pretty solid, you have to be very careful those first few days until it dries though. The glass is beautiful the hinges are not too shiny and look sturdy. I squeegee the glass almost daily because it’s fun but even when I don’t, there aren’t any spots. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. This door has so many issues dont even know how to explain. Exchanged it once and now need to purchase a new door altogether. It looks good but does not hold up well. My contractor thinks it is too heavy hence unable to hold up using the features that came with it to support it. I am very disappointed with this product especially since I had so much hope for it. The components themselves look and feel like quality items. The instructions are terrible at best. If you have not done an instal before, this is not the unit for you. The door panel that was shipped had a chip out of the top of the panel. It is really ugly. I have emailed Dreamline to see if they will stand behind it. It appears the chip occurred prior to packaging or shipping as there was no chip remnant in the package. I have installed numerous surrounds and this one has been the least enjoyable. Finally, the instructions tell you to install the door flush with the stationary panels at the tops of the panels. This is not possible with the dimensions of the door panel.. Renee. Racine, WI.
