It is soft, yet dense and there is no movement transfer which is nice, no waking up due to your spouse tossing and turning. It is firm enough to keep me aligned throughout the night and no aching sore spots in the morning in my hips or back, which is common for a side sleeper like myself. It opened up easily and I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of smell to it. I did give it 24 hours with a fan on to rise and off gas a bit. This mattress works ok. I think it leans more to a firmer side than medium firm. Though it works good, I think, having more memory foam on the top part would make it feel a little more comfortable and would definitely help with firmness. I appreciate the support on edges because it really is holding well with weight and I don’t just fall when seated on the edge but I still think there are other medium firm mattress around that feels more comfortable..
