The extra height is great gor me as I can no longer sit so low due to back problems. My 64 friends says its great too, he doesnt feel like an adult in a childrens bathroom. The lid doesnt slam as loudly as my previous toilet lid but its not really what I expected for a soft close. I expected like soft closing cabinet drawers, its not slow like that. Very happy with the product and works as described. I would point out that you need to use the provided 1/2 inch connectors as the bidet requires that size. This Hibbent bidet is amazing. I have always wanted one and then I visited my best friend’s house and she had one and then I realized I needed this in my life. I was intimidated to install it myself but I took it on and it was easy. You will need a straight screw driver, adjustable wrench and teflon tape. Then just follow the easy to read instructions. It literally took me 15 minutes. I absolutely love it. The clean you feel is refreshing. Just remember that the water will be colder in the winter due to the supply lines being cold.
