Two or three zoom calls to go through design and options using their software program with renderings was great. Shipping was reasonably quick for semi custom cabinets. The function of the Escargot 49 oz. Wine Decanter is based on the fact of a double aeration effect. The first aeration takes place when the wine is poured out of the bottle into the escargot decanter exposing the content of the bottle to oxygen. Lift the decanter from horizontal to a vertical position to fill the decanter. The second contact with oxygen is triggered when the wine is poured out of the Escargot decanter into the glass. When pouring hold the decanter by the oval indent for conveyance. The decanter construction forces fresh air through the already decanted wine a second time to fill the air space in the decanter. This second aeration process creates a bubbling gurgle when the air is forced through the neck of the escargot decanter.

This Nude Mr. & Mrs. carafe is integrated with mouth-blown glass cups. The cups, decorated with a sleeping face, also work as a stopper, helping to keep the contents of the jug fresh. Whether tall or short, curvy or skinny, the jugs can be mixed to best suit the owner.

Lovely colors and shape. Convenient for keeping drinking water bedside. I do think the drinking glass/stopper should have at least a small diameter flat bottom, just in case. It would work and look the same as a "stopper" in the carafe but the set would not require 2 hands to pour in the middle of the night. I also am afraid that eventually, while half asleep, I will forget the egg shaped glass can't be set down on a table and I will spill water everywhere lol.
