Love this pressure cooker! I've been using an aluminum PC for years, but recently changed to an induction cooktopand needed an induction compatible PC. It's easy to close the lid securely, to tell when pressure has been achieved, and to quick release the pressure. Yes, it's expensive, but I'll have it the rest of my life and pass it on when I die. This set are amazing they heat up even and quickly on my induction stove. Love the weight and the clean up is nice. Just make sure to let the pans cool down before cleaning . This arrived well-packed in the manufacturer's box and was new, arrived ahead of schedule. The 5.5 quart size was the size I was looking for things like chili, stews, soups, etc. I needed to buy new because I moved to a home with an induction cooktop. This is an expensive investment but after all the research (Reddit was the best source) I wanted guaranteed reliability and longevity. I measured my old large pot and this one correlated close. I personally think the largest size, the 8.9 would be too big for my daily use. Loving this pan so far. Have used for 3 months and it has kept the non stick well. It is heavier but I like that it is aluminum free and ceramic for better food safety from toxic chemicals in other non stick. Cooks nice and evenly as well.
