easy to put together. like many of the other reviews state, there is a little gap in the wood pieces. while it was very obvious when we were putting it together, I do not notice it now that it’s together and in use. we bought two chairs and one of them was quite uneven so we had to use several felt pads to level out chair. the other chair did not have this problem. overall, for the price, I am pleased.. I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole.
