The price was better than other roto-molded coolers on the market, but it did not perform much better than my injection molded ice chest and it had some significant drawbacks Pro: -pretty -leak proof -cheaper than yeti, rtic, etc -divider and basket -love the drain Con: -heavy (30 lb empty) -over 3x as much as my old igloo and did not seem any better at holding ice -SHALLOW! At 10 qt more than my other cooler I wasn’t planning on it being so much shorter inside. I went to put in a jug of ice coffee and it was too tall to fit ‍♀️ -trying to copy the mesh netting on the rtic was a cool idea, but the dumb adhesive/velcro did not hold up. Michael. CA. i have both the 25 qt and the 52 Qt BMX caolers. Their rotomold design allows you upgrade them to the performance level of the much more expensive yeti and Rtic brand coolers. Common to both of those manufacturers , the BMX coolers incorporate a molded lip along the edge on the underside of the lid ,which when closed, fits into a channel that runs along the top of the cooler walls.By adding adhesive backed 1/4 inch rubber weatherstrip "D" ( Inserted into the channel) you increase the ice retention to match that of the Yeti and RTIC product, as that rubber weather stripping is really the only functional element that distinguishes the 3 brands.. On the trip down we stayed overnight in a hotel halfway to SC.. To my delight our food was in perfect condition when we unpacked it!!
