In the past, I have inserted cans in the chicken and they fall over and cause you to get burned. I have used the stands with ok luck. This pan allows you to pour two beers in the bottom and the vented stand is durable and functional and the top pan allows you to cook the vegetables of your choice. I cooked roasted squash, zucchini, red onions, bell peppers, carrots and spinach on the top pan while my chicken cooked on the stand. The wok cooks very well and evenly! The handles get hot quickly so use an oven mitt or pan handler to hold on them. It is virtually non-stick if you use a little oil and get it up to the right temperature.
