You betcha! We use it in the main part of the house and turn the natural gas heat low to save money. Works perfectly; burns for a straight 8 hrs if needed and heats about 800 square feet of space. I keep it down on lowest setting most of the time as I like a lower power bill. When I want to do my dishes or need to use more water, I hike it up and get the water really hot. Then I can add cold water and I have enough to do my dishes and then some! I turn it back down to the lowest setting after and I have warm water to wash my hands and such. Perfect heater for under sink! Easy to use. Pretty easy to install. The perfect sized heater for easy install and only need for sink you use for everything in the cabin. I had to kick this up to 5 stars because it is just what I needed to get my hot water in the cabin! Makes life so much easier in the country. This hot water heater does heat up 4 gallons of water that you can heat up to the max and add cold water so you have hot water for the entire load of dishes. Oh I am glad I got this one!
