It is hung with the 20 chain. For perspective, we replaced a 20 year old pile rubbed bronze fixture that was 18 in diameter. I had concerns the new light may over power the space but the scale worked out beautifully in the end. The only concern was the instructions. It’s pretty but not super sparkly. The darker gold tone is nice because we didn’t want that yellow gold bright color.
